Here at BDPT we are committed to provide the highest quality of Physiotherapy service to people of all ages who are suffering from any musculoskeletal injury or condition.

Through continuous professional development our highly skilled therapists want to help you by utilizing a variety of therapeutic interventions.
Treatment programs are individually tailored to your specific condition, with consideration given to the goals you wish to achieve with your treatment or rehabilitation. We incorporate a “hands on” approach, and have a wide range of treatment options available to help maximize potential recovery as quickly as possible.

Izak Ackermann
BSc Psych, BSc PT

Izak arrived in Lac La Biche on January 1st 2011. He graduated as a physiotherapist from Stellenbosch University in Cape Town, South Africa in 2004. After qualifying he worked at the Constantia Sports Medicine Centre in Cape Town for 3 years obtaining valuable knowledge and experience in orthopaedic, neurology, respiratory and sports related injuries and treatment. During this time he worked with many post-surgical cases on an in- and outpatient basis. Izak continued his work in the field of physiotherapy with premier football and rugby teams in SA as well as a wide array of athletes during his final tenure in SA gaining valuable experience in the field of sports medicine.

Izak has a hands-on approach to physiotherapy focusing on manual therapy, specialised exercise rehabilitation and specific soft tissue techniques. He also has additional training in kinesio taping and myofacial release and strives to deliver the best treatment based on the most recent clinical research in the field of physiotherapy.

Izak is a friendly and approachable person who loves the outdoors and stays active by hiking, paddling, golfing, yoga and working out in the gym.
